Its just 6 Feet in the End!!!!

I am sure many of you must have guessed what the title is intending to say. To all those readers who have not heard the song 'Aadi adangum vazhkaiyada', this title will help you get the crux of the song.

Debated as the debut movie for the legendary thamizh film director K.Balachander (alias KB, who created milestone heroes Kamal and Rajinikanth in the film industry), Neerkumizhi was one of those rare movies which touched real life happenings. Put on the backdrop of a hospital which hosted all types of patients starting from a fracture to leukaemia, KB has moved the movie in a gentle and steady pace. The movie would have been boring if not for Sethu (played by yester year's comedian Nagesh, who later on grew to be the company hero for KB till Kamal was founded!!!), who steals the show (and in the end the hearts of all the people watching him die) by trying to steal a puff or two when the watchful nurse is out of sight.
This particular song rendered by the powerful singer Seergazhi Govindarajan, is picturised on Nagesh, as he lies on the bed and in his soporific mood spells the truth of life. Surpisingly, a great hit song which actually lifts your spirits when you feel everything is lost. Ofcourse, the song does say that its nothing but 6 feet in the end. But it hits hard on the head of the nail, making you wake up everyday as if it were the last. A song to remember... A song to give you a peaceful sleep (??!!) as well...
But not many of us really know who this Suradha and V.Kumar are. Infact I am sure many of us thought that this song was written by Kannadasan and music was given by the duo MSV and Ramamurthy or K.V.Mahadevan. But this duo Suradha and V.Kumar have rendered many great hits which I shall probe into in my future blogs. More songs to come...!!!!

My First Music Blog

I have never tried my hand in writing about music. I love listening to music. I listen to any sort of music, any language. But to write about it, is something that needs a lot of knowledge. So here I am finally penning my thoughts about the various songs in TAMIL that has inspired me, made me cry, made me jump with joy and given me many more emotions in life. Also I would like all the readers of this blog to contribute as well with the information they have.
